The storefront at Preston Royal Village that housed Dallas’ oldest health food store will soon be replaced with a children’s activities center.

The new tenant is Kidville, and as its name suggests, it’s a like a little town for children. In addition to its gym and indoor playground, Kidville offers several types of developmental classes for children up to age 6, incorporating music, dance, cooking and art. The store hosts event series and birthday parties, too. There’s also a cafe, retail boutique and salon where kids can get their hair cut while relaxing with DVDs or games.

Talk about pampering. It looks like someone found the children’s equivalent to mom’s day at the spa. The store only has locations in the Northeast, and this is the first one to come to Texas. It’s slated to open in our neighborhood this fall. Stay tuned for more updates.
