The Catholic Foundation honored 11 Catholic school teachers during September with the Work of Heart award, which recognizes teachers for merit, tenure, leadership or charity work. Maureen Sullivan, a physics teacher at Ursuline Academy, received the award and $500 in grants for her commitment to her students.
Over the past five years, the foundation has given away a total of $450,000 of grant money. The foundation will distribute awards monthly to teachers and staff.
