Hillcrest alumni will battle it out Saturday at Hit-A-Rama, which benefits the Hillcrest Panther baseball program. The sixth annual event is a friendly competition to see how far participants can knock the ball out of the park.

A $10 entry fee gets you five pitches, and the champions receive a bragging rights t-shirt. It’s a big event that brings a lot of alumni together again.

There’s also a festival of children’s activities, games, face painting, a silent auction and lots of food – hot dogs, barbecue brisket, hamburgers, popcorn, candy, chips and drinks.

Game 1 starts at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hillcrest baseball field at Arline and Aberden. Game 2 is at 1 p.m., and the Championship is at 2:30. The event concludes with the awards presentation at 4 p.m.
