A group of residents at Parsons House Preston Hollow “rocked” for Memory Walk to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease, which hits home for those like Elizabeth Pritchett. She was a successful figure skater, beginning at age 50 and continuing well into her 60s.

Although she now struggles with slight dementia, Pritchett showcased some of her accomplishments during the event Friday, which have included techniques mastered through the Ice Skating Institute. She has countless patches from skating associations from across the country. Pritchett still participates in exercise classes at the assisted living center.
