A neighbor in the 7300 block of Currin woke up this morning to find the rear seats stolen from the SUV. Apparently is was a pretty clean sweep since nothing else in the car was damaged, and there was no noise disturbance.
A couple of other incidents have happened in or near Hillcrest East, including two alarms that went off at homes in the 7600 block of Azalea and near Northaven Gardens where someone had tried, unsuccessfully, to pry open the back door. Also, in the 7100 block of Azalea, a neighbor had her purse stolen right out of her vehicle.
As always, residents are reminded to take extra caution during the holidays when property crime tends to rise. Lock doors, set alarms, hide valuables, etc.
