If you’re looking for a fun event for the kids while you’re out shopping for holiday goodies, stop by the Town North YMCA for Cookies with Santa, Saturday, Dec. 11 from 10 a.m.-noon.

If you’re looking for a movie about a Jewish baseball team, The JCC is the place to be Saturday, Dec. 11 at 8 p.m, when they showcase The Yankles. The family friendly comedy portrays the story of Charlie, an ex-major league baseball player, who by happenstance becomes the coach for a yeshiva students’ baseball team. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.

Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church has plenty of events to keep your Sunday busy. Yule Fest, Texas Style is Sunday, Dec. 12 at 4:45 p.m. in Jubilee Hall. Come out and enjoy music, singing and Tex-Mex. Tickets for food are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

If this doesn’t grab you, the church is also hosting a Candlelight Carolfest, Sunday, Dec. 12 at 6:30 p.m. The free event will showcase all of the church’s musical groups performing Christmas songs for the season.
