After five years at the northwest corner of Preston and Forest, the popular, family owned Spanish restaurant, Chic from Barcelona, is closing. You have just one week to stop in and say farewell to the Barcelona natives.

We featured the restaurant in the magazine in April 2008 for its tapas and the comfortable patio. Chic also has created buzz for its fall-off-the-bone rotisserie chicken developed by chef Tony Botella.

Walk-ins and to-go orders are welcome, but the last night on Jan. 5 will be by reservation only – $40 per person – with dinner and cocktails beginning at 7:30 p.m. To make a reservation, call 972.239.2442.

The restaurant also will be selling its books, posters and signature plates. Proceeds go toward Wipe Out Kids Cancer, the same Dallas charity they’ve supported since they opened.

Check out this neighborhood gem before it’s too late.
