The 2011 Jewish LearningFest kicks off at 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23 at the Jewish Community Center. Yuri Foreman, a boxing world champion who is now studying to become an ordained rabbi, will speak about his experiences. The series runs through Jan. 30 and features all kinds of educational sessions.
Mr. Puppet will bring his vaudevillian comedy to NorthPark for a children’s event at 2 p.m. Saturday.
The Meadows Museum opens a new exhibit on Sunday, “The Lost Manuscripts from the Sistine Chapel: An Epic Journey from Rome to Toledo.” The show displays manuscripts as old as the 11th century that have been lost or forgotten for 200 years. This will be the exhibit’s first appearance in the U.S.
