If you’re still working at that New Year’s resolution to get fit, there’s a neighborhood event that may help you take it to the next level – all while raising money your favorite charity.

All Tri is a nonprofit organization that helps train people for marathons and triathlons, sending participants to compete all over the world. A sign-up and information session will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29 at Churchill Recreation Center. You can hear success stories from athletes who overcome unhealthy lifestyles. David Bertrand, who teaches in the Applied Physiology and Wellness Department at Southern Methodist University, is this year’s All Tri coach.

For a $150 registration fee, you receive one-on-one and virtual training. Go here, to find out how you can set a fundraising goal for the charity of your choice.

Those who commit to these races will participate in three major endurance events: An Olympic-distance triathlon May 15 in New Orleans, the Calgary Marathon May 29 in Canada and the Platri Festival June 5 in Irving.
