True Food Kitchen, a self-described “sustainable” restaurant, is opening in NorthPark Center in late 2011, according to Teresa Gubbins on Pegasus News. The restaurant, which has two locations in Arizona and one in California, serves everything from dumplings to pizza to steak tacos. According to its website, True Food Kitchen prides itself on finding local produce partners in the communities it serves.

FOX Restaurant Concepts, the parent company of True Food Kitchen, will also be opening another of its 13 restaurant concepts at NorthPark — Zinburger, a gourmet wine and burger bar that has two Arizona locations and was named one of Phoenix Magazine‘s Best New Restaurants in 2010.

Gubbins noted a NorthPark employee’s speculation that True Food Kitchen would take the f0rmer location of T.G.I. Friday’s, which closed in January.
