We have no shortage of sweet shops in Preston Hollow, and if you haven’t tried the desserts at these few, now’s the time.

Creme de la Cookie at Preston and Royal has introduced French macaroons, which are almond flour-based instead of coconut based. So, they’re good for our gluten-free friends. Flavors include chocolate and raspberry. Creme is also doing pies, cheesecakes and cakes by the slice now as well as quiche, muffins, tarts and those cinnamon rolls that should have their own zip code. Stop by around St. Patrick’s Day for all kinds of green goodies.

Blue Mesa Grill has debuted three new desserts: dark chocolate empanadas with sangria sauce, guajillo-apple pan dowdy with dulce de leche ice cream and sweet potato pan dulces with roasted banana, dark chocolate and dulce de leche fondue. Try one during the restaurant’s Second Tuesday Happy Hour event 5-7 p.m., which features Cuervo tequilas and free mini surf-and-turf tacos.

Time is running out to try Pinkberry’s latest new flavor, blood orange. They’re selling the last of it this week.
