The Marsh Middle School Cadet Corps is, yet again, headed to the national championship, but the students need the community’s help to raise the rest of the money.

Fundraising totaled $6,000 this year, but the cadets are short $850 and need it before Spring Break March 14.

There’s no doubt this group is a worthy cause. We wrote about the Junior Reserve Officer’s Training Corps in August 2009, highlighting how the organization receives almost no funding from Dallas ISD and has managed to bring home multiple national titles. In October, the cadets got to hear from two Medal of Honor recipients.

Those who would like to support the cadets can mail checks to the school, 3838 Crownshore, 75244 at David Bate’s attention.
