The W.T. White Street Fair runs noon-5 p.m. Saturday in the school parking lot with hopes of bringing the school community and surrounding neighborhoods together. The event includes 30-50 booths, a tamale cook-off and performances throughout the day. Admission is free.

Don’t forget about the Dallas Loves Animals campaign event 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at Preston Hollow Park. Councilmembers Ann Margolin and Linda Koop host the pet-friendly event, which includes adoptable dogs, rescue organizations, low-cost micro-chipping and other activities. It’s free, and everyone is encouraged to bring their pups.

The Dallas International Film Festival presents SLANT 45 The Movie at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the AMC at NorthPark Center. The movie tells the story of area kids who volunteered 445,814 hours of community service as part of Service Learning Adventures in North Texas, created by the Super Bowl Committee and Big Thought.
