I ran across this little story today on NBC about how local Foursquare users are checking into “hell”, which refers to various traffic headaches around the city. Topping the list is “635 Hell”.

Apparently, nearly 500 drivers have checked in at this spot during gridlock – where 635 and the Dallas North Tollway meet. Yes, that area is a nightmare during rush hour and, really, any time of day.

The area at Forest and Central, the spot where traffic seems to always slow down no matter what, has 160 check-ins.

Granted, these numbers are terribly staggering. But, what else are you supposed to do while sitting in the 635 parking lot?

Coincidentally, stories about the LBJ reconstruction came out today in the Dallas Morning News and local TV stations. We’ve been following the project here on the blog.

So, ready your smart phones, traffic is about to get a whole lot worse.
