Victoria Robinson of W.T. White and Leticia Hernandez of Thomas Jefferson were among seven Dallas ISD student to receive the 2011 Mayor’s Chesapeake Energy scholarship at a recent luncheon. The students’ combined awards total $65,191 in funds for college.

Recipients are selected based on academic and extracurricular performance. They must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA and be accepted to a college or university.

Victoria is in the top 10 percent of her class at W.T. White and participates in several clubs such as the LEAN mentoring program and National Honor Society. She plans to attend Texas State University and wants to become an anesthesiologist.

Leticia is ranked at no. 3 in her class at Thomas Jefferson. She’s in band, National Beta Club and other activities. She’ll attend the University of North Texas with a focus in engineering.
