The Texas Education Agency released it results for how well schools performed on AP exams and, sure enough, two of our neighborhood high schools made it in the top 10 among Dallas ISD in the 2009-10 school year.

At Hillcrest High School (no. 3), 397 students took the exam, and just over 47 percent passed. W.T. White came in at no. 9 with 1,277 exams taken and about 21 percent passing. Not surprisingly, the no. 1 spot went to the School for the Talented and Gifted.

The DMN’s DISD blog breaks down more of the numbers, also indicating which of the city’s schools performed the worst. The no. 1 spot goes to Madison High School.
