The Jewish Community Center presents its 13th annual Jewish Arts Fest 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28 at the Meyerson. The all-day event is packed with live music performances, art demonstrations, speakers, children’s activities and kosher food. Also, several local Jewish organizations will have booths.

The full schedule of the day’s events:

11 a.m. Rick Recht and Band: This Jewish musician is popular among youth today, helping them connect with their heritage.

1:15 p.m. Elon Gold: You’ve probably seen this comedian as a regular on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” He also wrote and performed for “The Dana Carvey Show” and “Chapelle Show”.

2:30 p.m. Joshua Nelson: This eclectic musician bridges the gaps between races and religions, combining Jewish and African-American musician traditions. He’ll be accompanied by the Temple Emanu-El choir, Temple Shalom choir and Kol Rina of Ashai Torah.

4:30 p.m. Slappy and Monday: Popular circus performers from Slappy’s Playhouse will do a comedy show including music, juggling and physical comedy.

Throughout the day, there are vendor booths, arts and crafts, magicians, balloon artists and other activities. Tickets are $15 for adults, $8 for youth 15 and younger and free for kids 2 and under.
