Mayor Mike Rawlings has appointed councilmembers Ann Margolin (District 13, including Preston Hollow) and Delia Jasso (District 1) to the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau Board of Directors.
This is Margolin’s first time serving on the board, which is aimed at developing strategies to help Dallas rank among the top five convention cities at the new convention center hotel comes to fruition.
“Councilmember Margolin, while new on the board, offers valuable expertise in her roles on the city’s Economic Development and Budget and Finance committees. Competition will be fierce in this continued tough economic climate, and they’re the two for the job,” Rawlings said in a press release.
The hotel is scheduled to open Nov. 11. Margolin and Jasso will be inducted to the board on Nov. 18.
