The Westapher Auction and Dinner Party, set for 6-9 p.m. this Sunday at the Preston Hollow home of Faye Briggs, kicks off the 46th annual Westaphor Golf Tournament, all benefiting the East Dallas-based Nexus Recovery Center.
The golf tournament is Oct. 10 with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. at the Golf Club of Dallas.
Sunday night’s auction includes items such as vacation packages, sports tickets, spa packages and other gifts. Admission is $50 and includes champagne and food from Maggiano’s.
The Nexus Recovery Center is celebrating is 40th anniversary this year of helping women overcome addiction. It’s one of the few programs that allows women to be admitted with their children – no matter race, creed, sexual orientation, disability or income. Briggs (of the Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty family) is a member of the Nexus Women’s Auxiliary.
