The children’s clothing boutique Chocolate Soup closed its location in Preston Royal Village over the weekend and moved to the Village at Fairview in Allen. No word on what prompted the move; simply a “variety of reasons” says an employee who didn’t want to be quoted.
Founded in 1971, the family business specializes in affordable designer clothes and accessories for boys and girls from newborns to pre-teens. The shop previously operated at another Preston Royal storefront for 30 years before moving across the street last year. It also has locations in Atlanta, Ga., St. Louis, Mo., and Germantown, Tenn.
The grand opening for the new Allen location is Oct. 20.
