The groundbreaking ceremony was held months ago and, after some delay, construction on the Northaven Trail has finally begun. Driving by on Preston Road, you’ll notice that the ground have been tilled, and trail form boards have been installed along the site heading east.
To recap my previous reports, the trail is set to start at Valleydale near the Jewish Community Center, cross Hillcrest and come out at Preston. This is just the first phase of the trail (2.2 miles), which will eventually extend west all the way to Denton Drive.
