In October, I reported on Marsh Middle School’s renovated Russel Hughes library and Tech Cafe that was made possible mostly through grassroots fundraising. Now, the school has a profile on DonorsChoose.org, calling for donations to help stock the library with books for the Bluebonnet Reading Program that challenges students to read at least 10 books from a list of 20 different genres. View the full description of the project here.

But act fast, so Marsh can receive the full benefits – any donations received by Dec. 12 will be matched by DonorsChoose.org. Marsh’s library circulation has already skyrocketed since the renovation, drawing hundreds of students a day. And not just for mandatory class assignments – it has become a central gathering place and student hang-out.

To donate to Marsh’s project, just type in a dollar amount in the top right-hand corner of the page, and click “Give.” Then at check out, enter the match code, “SPARK.”

Update: The project was fully funded in just three days in the amount of $906.
