To mark its 50th year of existence, Marsh Middle School hosts a Family Fun Day on April 14, featuring a 5k and 1-mile fun run along with carnival activities.

It’s also opening day for the military museum, an education project spearheaded by the students of the Leadership Cadet Corps. The museum showcases war memorabilia from neighborhood veterans, honoring their service. Marsh students will host tours for elementary school field trips. We wrote about their fundraising effort last October.

Race registration is 7:30-8:45 a.m. The 1-mile run starts at 8:30 and the 5k kicks off at 9. You can register in advance online and pick up your packet 4-7 p.m. April 13 at Marsh.

The carnival includes bounce houses, games, vendors, student performances, face painting, food and other family activities. There’s also a raffle of two round-trip tickets on Southwest Airlines for any destination.

That night, an all-class reunion will be held at 7 p.m. at El Fenix at Forest and Webb Chapel, open to former Marsh students and the community.
