Inwood Tavern will host its 48th anniversary bash Friday. The popular dive bar opened in 1964. Texas country band Cuttaway Creek will perform 7:30- 9 p.m. Inwood Tavern also will serve complimentary Campisi’s pizza and cocktails. DJ Steffi will spin tracks from 10 p.m. to closing time.
St. Marks School of Texas will host Cupcake Camp Dallas 1-4 p.m. Saturday. The event benefits LEAP, a nonprofit organization comprised of volunteer plastic surgeons, urologists, eye surgeons, anesthesiologists, orthodontists, nurses and a support staff that offer surgical care to children around the world. Bakeries around the Dallas area will participate, including Society Bakery, Tart Bakery and the Trailercakes food truck. General Admission is $10 for five tasting coupons. For kids 10 years and younger, the cost is $5 for three tasting coupons. Children 4 and under get one tasting coupon free.
The Dallas String Quartet will perform 3-6 p.m. Saturday in the NorthCourt at the NorthPark Center. The three violinists and one cellist have been playing together since 2007. Their classical musical stylings add a unique flair to contemporary music from Coldplay to Lady Gaga.
