Dallas ISD’s proposed 2012-13 budget amounts to $1.15 billion this year. That’s $23 million slimmer than the current one. There’s no tax increase, no employee raises, increased elementary class sizes and other cost-saving measures. The district is receiving about $100 million less than expected from the state legislature.
