See two of the folk performers when Uncle Calvin’s Coffeehouse presents its Woody Guthrie Festival Preview Show at 8 p.m. Friday, featuring Joel Rafael and Don Conoscenti. Susan Herndon opens the show. Tickets are $15-$18 and available online. Remember, Uncle Calvin’s donates a portion of ticket and refreshment sales to local charities, including North Dallas Shared Ministries, Stew Pot, North Texas Food Bank, Vickery Meadows Learning Center, Heifer International, Texas Folk Music Foundation and Northpark Presbyterian Church.
It’s the first Friday of the month, and that means wine and appetizers at North Haven Gardens. The shop hosts its Garden Happy Hour 4-6 p.m. Friday and will stay open an hour later.
