Preston Hollow Early Childhood Association has expanded its philanthropy efforts. This year, the moms group is partnering with Big Thought to provide funding for its learning programs that focus not only on engaging children in the classroom but also in the home and the community.

“With a network of more than 100 families, we thought it would be a great opportunity to give back to some of the organizations that provide resources to Dallas-area children,” said PHECA president Sunny Knocke in a press release.

The group will continue to contribute funds to ongoing neighborhood projects at the Bookmarks Library at NorthPark Center, the Preston Royal Branch library and Preston Hollow Park.

For two decades, PHECA has helped parents in Preston Hollow and North Dallas develop a strong bond through educational meetings, social events and playgroups. The organization is for parents with preschool-aged children.

The group meets on the fourth Monday of every month August-May at Cochran Chapel United Methodist Church. The first meeting of the year is at 9 a.m. Aug. 29, and new members are welcome.
