This post is part of series on publicly displayed art in Preston Hollow.

In 2008, the city commissioned Eliseo Garcia to create a sculpture for the Walnut Hill Fire Station No. 35. His three pieces, made of Cordova limestone, collectively represent the four elements – earth, wind, fire and water – which he says he feels firefighters face every day in their work. The sculptures cost about $30,000.

The Dallas Observer reported that Eliseo was named the Texas State Three-Dimensional Artist for 2009.
