It’s that time again — the city’s proposed 2012-2013 budget town-hall meetings will begin in District 11 this Tuesday, Aug. 14, 6:30 p.m. at the Churchill Recreation Center. Councilwoman Linda Koop also will present at Fretz Park Recreation Center on Monday, Aug. 20, at 6:30 p.m. Ann Margolin will preside over this year’s town-hall meeting for District 13 on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 6:30 p.m. at Thomas Jefferson High School.

This year’s proposed budget shows the tax rate will remain the same. However, the budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by 2.06 percent, according to the document.  A $642 million Capital Bond Program will be proposed to focus on flood control, streets and economic development over a five-year period.
