Come to Rise in disguise as Julia Childs. Photo from risesouffle.com.

Julia Child, known for introducing French cuisine to the American public, made cooking fun and adventurous. And even though you may never have the opportunity to live in France or study under the best, you can still celebrate by dressing the part.

This Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at  Rise N°1, you can finally fulfill all your wildest French dreams. For Julia Child’s 100th birthday, come dressed as Julia Child and enjoy a Julia-inspired lunch for free. And while it’s all in good fun, the organizers urge all impersonators to be respectful while celebrating the life of  Julia Child.

Some ideas for your Julia costume:

• Short wig in a brown, curled style
• Blue or green button down shirt or blouse
• Black pencil skirt
• Pearl necklace
• Pearl earrings
• High heels
• Button pin (or circular sticker)
• Apron (tied around waist)
• Rolling pin

Rise N°1 will be taking reservations for parties of all size. Hold your spot on the online reservation form or call 214.366.9900 for immediate reservation options. Bon appetit!
