The North Texas Amateur Baseball League is holding tryouts 9 a.m.-noon this Saturday at W.T. White High School. The league is for ages 18 and older, and registration is $150. Here’s how it works.
Show up at 9 a.m. for registration and warm ups. At 9:30, there’s an open workout, hitting, pitching and fielding. By 11, they’ll pick teams. Be sure to bring your own gear as well as water and sports drinks.
Opening day of the 10-game season is Sept. 12. Games are played Sunday afternoons and Wednesday nights. For more information, call 817.637.7552. In the case of rain, call 469.277.7246.
