Permanent road changes are starting Oct. 1 as crews continue with the LBJ Express Project.

Oct. 1 – Starting at 6 a.m. traffic will permanently be switched to the new eastbound left lane of LBJ frontage road between Preston Road and Hughes Lane.

– Drivers will also be directed to the new eastbound LBJ entrance ramp from Hillcrest Road.

– Starting at 8 p.m. the eastbound ramp from Montfort Drive will be closed permanently.

Oct. 1-5 – From 9 p.m.- 6 a.m. southbound Preston Road will be closed due to construction of the Preston Road bridge. Drivers will have to take the westbound LBJ frontage road and U-turn at the Montfort Drive bridge.

Oct. 2 – Starting at 10 p.m. westbound LBJ frontage road between the Marsh Lane entrance ramp and Webb Chapel Road will open.

– Drivers will have to use the Marsh Lane exit ramp to access Webb Chapel Road as it will be closed.

Starting at 10 p.m. and scheduled to last about one year, traffic will be reduced to one lane from both directions of Interstate 75 to westbound LBJ.

– A temporary ramp will replace the Coit Road entrance ramp to eastbound LBJ a bit down the road.
