A Tolkien experience to benefit center for the blind

Enjoy The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings? Here’s your chance to visit a J. R. R.  Tolkien inspired Preston Hollow Cottage and it’s for a good cause.

Tours of Preston Hollow resident Phyllis Glazier’s cottage, hobbit house and gardens are 11 a.m – 7 p.m. Oct. 12 and 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Oct. 13 at 4668 Meadowood Road, Dallas, Texas 75220. Several small silent auctions with items including Laura Sheppherd jackets, hand crafted velvets, sweaters and dresses, or Kathryn Roth ruffled scarves and shawls will benefit the American Foundation for the Bind Center on Vision Loss.

There is no entry fee and everyone is invited to tour the eclectic home with Celtic stones, carvings from Ireland, a drawbridge, hidden rooms, a dragon bed and more.
