Art Conspiracy moves from West Dallas to the Design District this year, and the W.T. White community has a part in it.

Art Conspiracy 8 starts at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at 960 Dragon. The annual event, which started out at the Texas Theatre, is a fundraiser in which artists raise money for nonprofits. This year’s beneficiaries are Girls Rock Dallas and the ceramics program at W.T. White High School.

Artists from all over the city, 150 of them, are given blank canvases on which to create anything they would like. Those canvases are then offered in a live auction, with bids starting at $20, during Art Conspiracy.

The event also includes entertainment from three live bands: Burning Hotels, David Hart and Blackstone Rangers. Admission costs $10.

Since its inception in 2005, Art Conspiracy has raised $140,000 for nonprofits.
