LBJ update: Major traffic shifts for Hillcrest, Preston and Park Central

The LBJ Express Project reaches a “major milestone” tonight, Dec. 19, when they shift eastbound LBJ traffic between Preston and Park Central to new main lanes.

Preston’s eastbound entrance ramp will open up, while Hillcrest’s eastbound exit ramp with shift to the east.

According to Heather DeLapp of the LBJ Express Project, the old lanes will be demolished beginning Dec. 20 once drivers are completely switched to new lanes. Work is expected to last until “sometime” February.
