The J Players present ‘Titanic, the Musical’ 7:30 p.m. Feb. 21, 24, 28 and 8 p.m. March 2 at the JCC’s Zale stage. Heather McCready will perform her bluegrass, Celtic, classical and folk music at Uncle Calvin’s 8 p.m. Feb. 22. McCready aims for her music to be used as a channel for mental health awareness based on her lifetime struggle with bipolar disorder and the suicide of two of her family members. Through her music she aspires to help other sufferers and fight stigmas. Tom McDermott, an Irish-American storyteller, singer, musician, author, comedian, percussionist and speaker will share some laughter and inspiration following McCready.

Get on your dancing shoes for a ‘Day of Dance’ at NorthPark Center 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Feb. 23. Organizers aim to bring families together for education about cardiovascular disease along with a little fun. At the event you’ll learn about improving your health through screenings and surveys, and the kiddos can have some fun at a teddy bear clinic. Local dance troupes will perform, A Clown Named Zoe will provide some extra entertainment and kids can get their faces painted.
