This weekend: Emo and pop-folk, ‘Spring break ’til midnight’ and a phone-a-thon

Melissa Greener performs emo-folk and Kate Klim will headline with folk-pop at 8 p.m. at Uncle Calvin’s March 15.

Bring your blankets, good spirits and children to the Nasher Sculpture Center 6 p.m. March 16 for a free “Spring Break ’til Midnight.” The night will start off with a concert featuring Dallas Band Emerald City. At 9 p.m. the 3D version of Hugo will be shown and glasses will be provided to the first 600 guests. You can pre-reserve picnic baskets by calling 214.242.5144.

Phones will be ringing 9 a.m.–6 p.m. March 17 and you just might be the one answering them. The JCC is hosting its annual Super Sunday fundraising event, which is the Jewish community’s largest fundraising phone-a-thon. Volunteers are needed for three shifts: 9 – 11 a.m., 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., or 2 – 5 p.m. Free childcare is available from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. and snacks and raffle prizes will be provided. Sign up at
