On May 16 the Dallas City Plan Commission will vote to rezone the entire 430 acres surrounding Valley View Center to the Galleria, which is set to become an urban village known as Dallas Midtown.

Commissioners already approved the Valley View-Galleria Area Plan late April, and if approved, the View-Galleria Area Special Purpose District will divide the 430 acres into seven walkable subdistricts.
