The Dallas Academy Foundation (DAF) will host its first annual “Academy Awards” ceremony 7-9 p.m. May 20, and Preston Hollow schools will be honored.

The DAF, along with the National Academy Foundation (NAF), is hosting the event to honor the partnership of the business community and DISD’s Career Education & Workforce Partnership Department, which works to support career-themed academic programs.

The event will feature award presentations for academy student of the year, academy of the year, academy teacher of the year, academy administrator of the year, advisory board champion, and the David R. Lewis award.

Thomas Jefferson High School‘s Academy of Hospitality and Tourism will be represented in the “model academics” category. Hillcrest High School‘s Academy of Engineering, Thomas Jefferson’s Academy of Finance, and W.T. White High School‘s Academy of Engineering are all represented in the “certified academics” category.

The Academy Awards will take place at The Marriott Hotel at 650 N. Pearl.
