Show off your expert salsa making skills this Saturday, June 22 at the annual North Haven Gardens salsa contest.
From 9 a.m. to noon drop off your original salsa recipe to the service desk at the garden store for judging. Salsa can include vegetables, fruits, herbs and whatever else strikes your fancy. Need some inspiration to get your creative lime and jalapeno juices flowing? Take a peep at last year’s winning “Save the Planet Salsa” here.
Winners are announced at 1 p.m. and do not need to be present to win. The top three winning salsa chefs will be awarded gift cards to Taco Joint. Additionally, first place salsa earns a $100 gift card to both Artizone and North Haven Gardens, second place earns a $75 gift card to the garden center, and the third place winner will be awarded a $50 gift card for the garden center.
