Patriotic dogs, a balloon lady and other festivities at Hillcrest Forest’s Fourth of July parade

The Hillcrest Forest Neighborhood Association will host its annual Fourth of July celebration at 10 a.m. that features a parade, best dressed pet contest, freebies, a balloon lady, face painting and more.

The event will take place at Kramer Elementary where attendees are encouraged to show up in red, white and blues.

A Dallas fire truck will lead the neighborhood-wide parade, and vintage car, convertible and drop-top Jeep owners are encouraged to participate.

District 11 Councilman Lee Kleinman will make an appearance as the special guest, and the Kramer PTA, local crime watch and Friends of Northaven Trail are expected to set up tables with insightful info.
