• The Glen Meadow Estates Homeowners Association will host a 9 a.m.-noon old-fashioned Independence Day celebration at Glen Meadow Park. Marsh Middle School ROTC will lend a hand in the flag ceremony and lead the parade.
  • Mike and Nacy Killough of Preston Hollow will host their annual parade and fireworks celebration for the Fourth of July at 9 a.m. on the 6000 block of Prestonshire.
  • The Hillcrest Forest Neighborhood Association will host its annual Fourth of July celebration at 10 a.m. that features a parade, best dressed pet contest, freebies, a balloon lady, face painting and more. The event will take place at Kramer Elementary where attendees are encouraged to show up in red, white and blues.
  • Metro PCS’ Fair Park Fourth features the City’s largest fireworks display for its official Independence Day Celebration. The Cotton Bowl festivities start at 4:30 p.m. and are free on a first-come first-serve basis.
