Update: As of July 10, Zoës Kitchen in partnership with Tour de France runner Zoë Romano have raised more than $85,000 for the World Pediatric Project.

Romano aims to be the first to run the 2,000-mile course while raising money for critically ill children. So far she has completed 1,284 miles and has $15,000 left toward her goal of raising $100,000 for WPP.

Original post June 24: Zoës Kitchen is teaming up to support one woman’s quest to be the first to run the entire Tour de France course in an effort to raise money for the World Pediatric Project.

The Zoë Goes Running project will raise funds to help save critically ill children.

In support of Romano, Zoës Kitchen launched a Give $5, Get $5 campaign where patrons will receive a mobile app worth $5 off any restaurant item when they donate $5 to WPP.

Zoës Kitchen executives hope to raise $50,000 for the project by the July 20 campaign end.

Romano has already raised $62,000 as of 10 a.m. June 24, and hopes to raise at least $100,000 for WPP.
