Jesuit alumnus Jordan Spieth just became the youngest winner on the PGA Tour in 82 years, the Associated Press reports.

Spieth, beat out David Hearn and Zach Johnson on the fifth hole of the John Deer Classic June 14.

Advocate editor Emily Toman wrote about Spieth when he was a student at Jesuit, who at 16 years old, became the youngest amateur to receive an exemption at the Byron Nelson Championship in 15 years.

AP reports that Spieth is the first teenager to a PGA title win since Ralph Guldahl took the Santa Monica Open in 1931.

“Just got so lucky. That’s what it is. But right now I’m extremely pleased, and a little worried about only having short sleeves going to Scotland,” Spieth told AP.
