Saturday night’s Mayweather vs. Alvarez boxing match ended in tragedy when a fight broke out at a home in the 3100 block of Talisman Drive near Webb Chapel.
A group of people who viewed the boxing match together at the home got into a dispute early Sunday morning, reports the Dallas Morning News.
Police responded to a shooting call at the home around 2:23 a.m. When the police arrived they found Eliseo Hernandez Lopez, 46, of Irving in the street. Lopez was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Police say Lopez was trying to break up a fight when he was fatally shot.
Police are still investigating and interviewing witnesses and have not made any arrests yet.
