Yesterday Ylang 23 posted a sneak peek of construction at their upcoming Preston Center location. I spoke with a sales associate at the Galleria store who confirmed that Ylang 23 will close their Galleria location in January 2014 and reopen at undetermined date sometime next year.

The associate said that the owners wanted to hold off on any interviews since it is so early in the construction phase, but I can confirm that the Preston Center location will be in Suite 700 where the maternity store, Pickles & Ice Cream just moved out of (Pickles & Ice Cream is still open in the center, just a few doors down in Suite 400).

Ylang 23 has sold high-end designer jewelry since opening in the Galleria 28 years ago. The store features jewelry from designers such as Cathy Waterman, Irene Neuwirth, Jennifer Meyer, Todd Reed, Ten Thousand Things and Jamie Joseph.

The Ylang 23 website states that in addition to running their jewelry store, owners Joanne and Charles Teichman are parents to two children and are involved with various Dallas charities including The Family Place, North Texas Food Bank, Dallas Holocaust Museum, Jewish Family Services, Vogel Alcove, The Stewpot and St. Philip’s School & Community Center.
