Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Dallas, a nonprofit group dedicated to advancing the success of women in real estate, will mentor local high school senior girls during CREW’s 9th annual Careers Building Opportunities program, “Construction Junction: What’s Your Function,” held Friday, Nov. 8, from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m., at the Dallas Police and Fire Pension System office.

Six Dallas ISD schools, including Thomas Jefferson High School, will participate in the one-day event program, which introduces high school girls to career opportunities available in the commercial real estate industry.

Participants will work on an actual development project in the local community. This year’s project consists of three acres of vacant land located adjacent to the 4100 Harry Hines building in the Oak Lawn neighborhood.

TJHS will be represented by two teams of five girls who will work side by side with CREW members to create their own development plan over an educational lunch, then present their concept for development to a panel of judges for awards and prizes.
