Local weather forecasts are looking pretty chilly, but not everybody is able to snuggle into some warm clothes or turn up the heater.

A couple neighborhood businesses are stepping up to help those in need of sufficient winter wear:

From Nov. 15-17, bring gently used sweaters Calypso St. Barth boutique in Preston Center to be donated to Covenant House, a Houston-based shelter for homeless youth. Plus, you receive a 20% discount for a new sweater when you donate.

Similarly, Anthropologie in NorthPark Center is accepting donations now through Nov. 24 for women’s and children’s sweaters for local shelters. Customers will receive a $10 gift card eligible for a purchase of a new coat or sweater.

Looking to get rid of gently used blankets, bedding, and pillows instead? Donate them to Sleep Experts stores at Royal Crossing and Lovers Lane. Read the details about Sleep Experts’ Share the Warmth Drive in our daily digest, here.
