Now that Thanksgiving has passed if you’re like me, you may now be a little more preoccupied with belly rolls rather than dinner rolls.

Luckily, Preston Hollow has several workout options to break a sweat and stay fit enough to shop alongside the frenzied holiday shopping masses. Take a gander below at some of Advocate’s top picks:

1. Beyond Pilates Studios, with locations on both Lovers and Preston, is offering a $199 unlimited monthly membership. Plus, USA Today recently featured the Lovers location as a favorite work out spot for one of our Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders.

2. Ride your bike along the Northaven Trail, located along the Oncor power line easement between Northaven and Royal. The trail should be particularly festive at night this season, in anticipation for the upcoming “Holiday Lights on the Trail” event. Neighbors that live in houses backing up the trail have been encouraged to deck out their residences with lights for the occasion.

3. Have a little fun while you work out and give zumba a whirl. Equinox Preston Hollow has several Zumba classes, and a variety of other workouts including kettle bell, cycle and yoga. Plus, you can be like the guy in this video (no Preston Hollow ties here, I just love his energy):

4. Visit the newly expanded Churchill Recreation Center on Churchill and Hillcrest to try one of their many classes, including square dancing, to yoga, to senior fitness classes. Call 214.670.6477 to learn more or see the full schedule here.

5.  The Jewish Community Center is hosting classes at Klyde Warren Park throughout December, such as yoga congos, zumba, and bootcamp. Adult swim, family yoga, and other classes are available at the JCC, located on Northaven. Call 214.739.2737 for schedule details.
