Lovers Lane United Methodist Church hosts the Swedish St. Lucia celebration and Yule Bazaar Saturday, noon-4 p.m. Organizers say the event celebrates St. Lucia who is a symbol of light and hope. She comes on the darkest day of the year to herald in a joyous season with singing, feasting and the spirit of friendship and goodwill towards all. The Yule shopping Bazaar begins at noon with Swedish crafts, gift items, baked goods, coffee, and glogg (hot spiced wine) available for purchase. At 2 p.m. enjoy  a candle light processional featuring the Swedish Women’s Association of Dallas’ choir. Admission is $3 at the door.
